UC: Language Builds Character

The Fourth Undergraduate Conference (UC) on English Language Teaching (ELT), Linguistics and Literature, whose theme is Building Character through Language, was held in the auditorium of Sanata Dharma University, Mrican, Sleman, Yogyakarta on Saturday 18 June 2016 at 8 am till 5.15 pm. UC 2016, which was attended by some 275 persons and which was chaired by Chatarina Nilam, a PBI-er of batch 2012, featured three invited speakers, namely Dr Willy Renandya, of National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore; Dr Ouda Tena Ena, of Sanata Dharma University, Indonesia and Dr Nugrahenny Zacharias, of Miami University, USA. On the D-day of the conference, 22 papers were presented by undergraduate students representing several universities.
