UC 2023: Learning English via Games

After two years of conducting UC online, finally, the Tenth Undergraduate Conference was finally held offline. This annual conference was organized by the PBI’s undergraduate students and lecturers. 

This year, the theme of the undergraduate conference was Game On: Gamified Language Learning in the Post-Pandemic Era. There were more or less 150 undergraduates consisting of participants and presenters from some universities in Central Java. This event was held on the 10th of June 2023 at Driyarkara Room, Auditorium Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This conference was held to help the undergraduate students to present and publish their research. There were two keynote speakers, Ms. Mega Wulandari, M.Hum, and Mr. Rizky, M.Kom, who shared insights about how to use gamification in learning English. This conference had something special from the others where this conference not only provided room for a presentation but also one room called “Game Room” for participants to try a lot of fun games as media for teaching and learning.
