Breaktime: Be Better and Beyond!

Breaktime 2022 was held by the students of the English Language Education Study Programme (ELESP) or Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (Prodi PBI) of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta on Saturday-Sunday, 12-13 November 2022. Breaktime is an annual event held after the mid semester exam week for ELESP students to better themselves by developing their non-academic skills.
Students from various classes and batches competed in inter-class competitions held at Beringin Soekarno, the Realino field, and the Student Hall of Sanata Dharma University, Mrican campus. Breaktime 2022, whose theme reads Lectum Victoria, consisted of sport competitions on Day-1 and art contests on Day-2. Moreover, ELESP’s communities and unit activities also performed on the night of the last day. “It was so fun to compete against friends from other classes. I think it would be great if there are a lot of participants and supporters to join this event,” stated Clarita, one of the participants in the Gobak Sodor competition. Another ELESP student called Mahe, a member of I-DIAMOND who prepared the photo booth, said: “It was such an amazing experience to work together with my friends to prepare the photo booth. It was beyond my expectations -- actually. What a cool surprise!”
