Curriculum 2013 Discussion

In order to be more prepared to assist and ensure the implementation of the (Indonesian National) Curriculum 2013 at elementary and high schools throughout the country, full time academic staff members of the English Language Education Study Programme (ELESP) or Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (Prodi PBI) of Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta held a discussion about the curriculum in Room I/K 12, the USD Mrican campus on Tuesday 1 April 2014 from 9 am till 1 pm. It is expected that the Curriculum 2013 will be nationally implemented starting the new academic year in July 2014. The discussion, sharing and question-answer session were facilitated by Dr J Bismoko, presenting an overview of key points and concepts related to the Curriculum 2013, by Markus Budiraharjo EdD and Barli Bram PhD, focusing on Systemic Functional Linguistics/Grammar, which underpins the curriculum, and then by A Hardi Prasetya MA and V Triprihatmini MA, tackling lesson plans and core competence as well as basic competence.
