PBI-ers Power Point Proposals

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Do PBI-ers need to power point the main ideas of their thesis proposal drafts? The answer is "Yes, they do". Note that in the context above, power point is used as or more precisely converted into a transitive verb. Normally, MicroSoft Word categorize PowerPoint (ppt) as a noun, not a verb. Morphologically, it is all right to convert the noun power point into a verb considering that many or even most nouns in English can also be used as verbs. What does the (regular) verb -- to power point then mean? Well, It means to make presentation slides using the PowerPoint software programme. The pictures below were taken in a Proposal Seminar class held on Tuesday 19 November 2013 from 2 pm till 4.45 pm. The focus of the Tuesday's class meeting was an individual presentation of the second chapter draft.
