Peak of Dies Natalis Faculty of Psychology XXVI: Bersama, Berkarya, dan Bertumbuh



Friday, 28 October 2022, Faculty of Psychology of Sanata Dharma University commemorate The 26th Dies Natalis. This event was hosted at Paingan main 3rd campus building of Sanata Dharma University Drost Room. The 26th of Dies Natalis carry out the theme of "Bersama, Berkarya, dan Bertumbuh", with the hope of us, together as a community could work together and in the process we could help each other to grow. The peak of Dies Natalis were attended by the Rector of Sanata Dharma University Rm. Albertus Bagus Laksana, S.J., S.S., Ph.D, Vice Rector III Sanata Dharma University Dr. Titik Kristiyanti, M.Psi, Deans of Psychology Faculty, Faculty Deans of Sanata Dharma University, Lecturers of Psychology Faculty of Sanata Dharma University, Staffs of Sanata Dharma University Psychology Faculty, alumni, students representative from BEMF and DPMF along with high achieving students. This activity were conducted by Mikhael Maheswara (21C) dan Yurika Novitasari (20C) as the Master of Ceremony (MC). Dies Natalis of this year was presided by Febriana Ndaru Rosita, M.Psi., Psikolog. Peak of Dies Natalis event included several activities. The event begin with the opening from the MC, followed by singing the national song “Indonesia Raya” and “Hymne Sanata Dharma".


For the next activity, the Chairperson of the 26th Dies Natalis, Mrs. Febriana Ndaru Rosita, M.Psi., Psikolog giving her appreciation. In her speech, she conveyed the meaning of the Dies Natalis theme, that our hope as a community is to work together and help each other to grow. She also thanked all who had been involved in the entire series of Dies Natalis events from the opening to the peak of the Dies Natalis. There are seven activities that have been carried out, including the opening of the anniversary which also celebrates the retirement of Dr. Tarsisius Priyo Widiyanto, M.Sc., then a seminar that invited five alumnus, a podcast titled Psikologi, Sejarah, dan Arah means “Psychology, History, and Direction", photovoice, thesis writing seminar, grave visiting of lecturers who has passed away (the late Mrs. Lusi and Mrs. Christin) in order to maintain the bonds within the Faculty of Psychology (news can be seen at Lecturers and Staffs Pay Respect and Pray for the Late Mrs. Christin and Lusi), and the last event was the peak of the Dies.


Then, the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Dr. Yohannes Babtista Cahya Widiyanto M.Sc giving his speech. In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude and pride, since its inception until today, the Faculty of Psychology has made many achievements which are finally seen by the public and gain their trust. This can be seen from the public impressions and appreciation through their interest in the choice of study at the Faculty of Psychology. In addition, he also said that the Faculty of Psychology was finally able to provide the Psychology Masters program. Finally, Mr. Cahya said one important point that could be taken as lesson from the recent situation in the world is that the pandemic and the changes it has brought towards education regulations. From the start of pandemic until now, all faculties, universities and education activities was forced to adapt as best they could. On the one hand, all of us has accepted the situation caused by the crisis. But on the other hand, we also accept the way we really are during the crisis and not.  Last speech was from Prof. Ir. Sudi Mungkasi, Ph.D. as the representative of the Chancellor of Sanata Dharma University. Next activity was performance from Musichology with song titled "Membasuh".


The event continued with listening to a scientific oration from Aquilina Tanti Arini, S.Psi., M.Sc. titled "Creating and Growing in an Uncertain World" (full details can be seen at Orasi Ilmiah Puncak Dies Fakultas Psikologi ke-26) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5h_0IvNWO4. The presentation of the scientific oration was closed by the performance of the song “Di Atas Awan” by Musichology.

Next was handing over certificates and mementos from the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, University of Sanata Dharma to 29 outstanding students who succeeded in making the Faculty of Psychology proud by making achievements in various fields. Then, the audience was entertained by the performance of the Psychology Faculty Choir which performed the songs “Manusia Kuat” and “Anganku Anganmu” complemented by a modern dance performance from the Androghini (Faculty Activity Unit). The celebration was closed with a closing prayer led by Agung Santoso Ph.D and ended with a group photo session with the guests.
