Experimental Psychology Lecture Activities



On September 13, 2022, at 07.00 WIB at the Psychology Laboratory, Sanata Dharma University, an Experimental Psychology course was held which was empowered by Mrs.  M.M. Nimas Eki S., Ph. D. As is information, the Experimental Psychology course aims to provide an understanding of experimental research methods, the steps in research, as well as the process and dynamics of behavior in experimental situations. In today's lecture, learning is focused on getting to know some psychological experimental tools in the Psychology Laboratory. Some of the experimental test kits available at the Psychology Laboratory include Depth Perception, Discrimination Weight, Light Discrimination Apparatus, Color Mixer, O'Connor Tweezer, Mirror Tracer, Aesthesiometer, Two Arm Coordination, Hand Stand Perimeter, Purdue Pegboard,


The learning process was initially carried out in class so that students could get a theoretical explanation regarding some experimental test kits. Not only that, what's interesting in today's class is that students are divided into several groups and invited to tour the laboratory, to see various experimental test kits. Students are also dynamic together to study the test tool manual in order to know the procedure for using the test kit, as well as making important notes related to the administration of the test kit. After that, students take turns trying to use the test kit.


During the lectures, students seemed enthusiastic and wanted to know a lot about the test tools in the Laboratory of the Faculty of Psychology. Students quite a lot of questions to Mas. Muji, as the Administrator of the Psychology Laboratory, is related to information about test kits and they also show enthusiasm for conducting additional learning outside the hours of the Experimental Psychology course. In the end, the series of theoretical and practical learning activities in the laboratory ended around 10.00 WIB.
