Academic Staff

Yohana Veniranda was born and had her primary education, junior and senior high school in Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. She pursued her bachelor degree at the English Language Education Study Program, Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta and graduated in August 1994. In January 1995, she became a teaching staff at her alma mater. From 2001 until 2003, she pursued her Master degree at the English Language Studies (or KBI) at Sanata Dharma University. In 2009, she was granted the Presidential Fulbright Scholarship to pursue her doctoral degree at the Department of Linguistics at University of Delaware, in Newark, Delaware, USA, and graduated in August 2015. Her research interests are linguistics, teaching of language elements and skills, and translation.
