The English Education Master’s Program of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta was established in 2016 to respond to society’s growing needs for a good quality graduate program of English education. This post-graduate program can be completed from 1.5 to 2 years and constitutes 38 Credits. It prepares students to develop excellent knowledge, skills, attitudes, and research capabilities in the field of educational psychology, teacher professional developments, literature and linguistics in English Language Teaching and education, school management, and second language acquisition.
In less than five years of its establishment, this Program has gained a B Accreditation Status from the Indonesian higher education bureau and attracted many applicants including those from ASEAN Countries. Its orientations towards outcome-based education have enabled this Program to produce a myriad of collaborations between lecturers and students, and with both domestic and international universities. These have resulted, among others, in research and publications in reputable national and international journals and the exchange programs for the teaching staff and students in the form of guest lecturing, workshops, and practice teaching.
