The Sixth Undergraduate Conference (UC) on English Language Teaching (ELT), Linguistics and Literature was organized by undergraduate students of the English Language Education Study Programme of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta in Driyarkara Auditorium, Mrican, Sleman on Saturday, 12 May 2018. The main theme of UC 2018 was Learning English in the Modern Era. Five of the subthemes were as follows: Cultural Issues in Language Learning, Language in Broadcasting and Advertising, Stylistic Features of English Language, Literary Features in English Language and Modern Literary Works in EFL classes. Some 300 students took part in the conference, whose plenary speakers were Veronica Triprihatmini MA MHum, of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta and Prof Stephen Hall, of Sunway University, Malaysia. As for the parallel sessions, the organizing committee had selected and scheduled 30 presentations, which would be delivered by undergrads representing 14 higher learning institutions in various provinces in Indonesia.
