On February 22, 2018, a monitoring and evaluation of Darmasiswa Program were conducted by BPKLN (Bureau of Executing & Foreign Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Culture Indonesia) at Realino Hall, Sanata Dharma University. The event was attended by Vice Rector IV, The International Office of Sanata Dharma University, Head of Language Institute with the staff and all Darmasiswa students.
The event opened with remarks from the Head of the Language Institute, Mrs. B. Ria Lestari, which was then followed by the explanation of the Darmasiswa student’s learning system by the Language Institute. Evaluation conducted by BPKLN is based on Darmasiswa students’ questionnaire. Darmasiswa students also help in evaluating the program by sharing their experiences in studying and living in Indonesia. Immigration issues are also considered important for the ongoing program. The next part was a question and answer session and then the event closed with a group picture.
The Darmasiswa program is an Indonesian government program that provides opportunities for students from various countries to learn Indonesian language and culture for one year. In addition, Darmasiswa students have the opportunity to sit-in other classes, where they can study in courses like regular students such as Indonesian Literature, Indonesian History, Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Elementary Teacher Training, Accounting Education, Economics, English Literature and English Education.
